Nature thrives in abundance at Stonelake; the Idle Valley offers a haven for diverse species to flourish amidst its woodlands and waterways. From your luxury lodge you can watch herons patrolling the reeds, tufted ducks, grebes and goosanders splashing and diving; Swans gliding gracefully raising their families. Sit on the bank and feed the large carp and tench at the water’s edge. At night from your deck you can enjoy the sounds of the owls and if you’re lucky the slap of the beavers’ tails. Perhaps wake up early to catch a glimpse of the secretive roe deer and muntjac.
